These images are from Royal Chitwan National Park, which lies in the southern part of Nepal near the border with India. Here the elevations are low, the weather is humid, and the vegetation is jungle. It's quite a shift from the mountainous northern part of the country, for which Nepal is more commonly known. We stayed at a very nice lodge called Tiger Tops. They offered safaris via foot, boat, jeep, and most fantastic, via elephant-back. |
