Hadzapi Children

The Hadzapi are a nomadic people who survive by their hunting skills. These bushmen have no permanent settlements and few possessions. They move about following the good opportunities for hunting, water, and other necessities. Their language is unusual in that it makes use of clicking noises. Only a few hundred Hadzapi remain, scattered in groups across the continent.

When we visited this clan, the adults were away hunting and seeking water, but we located the children. The boys had just killed a baby bush pig with their bows and arrows, and proceeded to cook it up over the fire. I later got an impromptu archery lesson, but didn't show much knack for it.
