Prudhoe Bay, on the North slope of Alaska, is home to an enormous oil producing industrial complex. It is here that the Alaska pipeline begins, fed by a sprawling web of drilling pads and pipes. These pictures hint at what the coastal plain of the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge might look like if it too is opened for drilling. |
