The Khumbu (or Solu-Khumbu) region of Nepal is perhaps best known as the home of Mount Everest, the world's highest peak. There is a staggering amount of spectacular mountain scenery in this place. We did a four week loop trek that included Gokyo, Cho La, Kala Pattar, and Imja Tse (Island Peak). If you haven't been, go! I recommend it highly. |
